Walking by Goldie's cage, I heard a faint meow that got a little louder as I started to walk by. Well, of course, I had to stop, go back and take a look ... and there I saw a beautiful cream-colored tabby who had two of the biggest green eyes peering out at me -- his name is Goldie and he's 6 1/2 years old. Goldie is an awesome guy who is gentle, curious and friendly. He enjoys soft pets and kisses, but chin and ear scratches are the best as far as he is concerned! Goldie came to the shelter when his owner was moving and couldn't take him along. He would make a phenomenal addition to most any family, as he is a laid-back kind of guy who just wants a place to hang out at. A home without children is preferred, as all the activity that comes with them may be a bit much for Goldie. Our vets noted that Goldie is a bit overweight, so a light diet and some playtime with you will provide him with the exercise he needs to help trim down and stay healthy. Curled up next to you while watching TV or snuggled up at your feet each night dreaming sweet kitty dreams, Goldie will be your friend and companion for many years to come.
