Mabel is a very sweet dog but stands up for herself if needed. She`s a love muffin who wants only to be with her human and would be a wonderful companion.
Mabel came to BROOD a very sick girl, she endured surgery to removed her gall bladder and spleen. The gall bladder was attached to the diaphragm because her gall bladder had ruptured previously and in an attempt for her body to heal the gall bladder attached itself to the diaphragm. Mabel was also diagnosed with epilepsy and on medication. Since her surgery, and recovery, the vet has taken her off all medication including phenobarbital and she has continued to improve and thrive. Her medical condition doesn`t stop her day-to-day life and now that she is feeling much better she once again loves to play with her younger foster brother. She may be and look like 7 years old but she acts more like a much younger dog.
Mabel is housetrained. She will go out, do her business, and then ask to come in right away. She also loves brisk walks or runs.
**The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog`s age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the records.
