Tupper (or Tup-Tup as he also likes to be called) is a big dog with an even bigger heart. He has so much to offer. He is house trained, crate trained, knows many commands and behaves like a gentleman around the house. He is currently in urgent need of a foster home as shelter life is just not for him.
Tupper seems to really enjoy the companionship of other well-behaved dogs. He is truly eager to please! For example, he will sit for you when you have a treat and you don't even have to ask! When it's feeding time he will dance around the room and then run into his crate and sit and wait to be fed. Tupper will be your best friend. He thoroughly enjoys a good scratching on his backside. He'll lay next to you on the couch and watch TV with his head in your lap. He is very affectionate - he loves to give you kisses and sometimes he forgets how big he is and will try to cuddle up in your lap. He will play fetch with you and he'll drop the ball at your feet so you can continue playing. You can see how excited he is when he plays because he doesn't just run, he bounds around like a puppy! He loves people and getting attention from them. To be his best, Tupper needs a home with clear and consistent rules and expectations. If you do not do this, he will try and push boundaries. He constantly looks at you for approval, even when when doing things he shouldn't, and you must be clear of what you expect of him. He learns very quickly with positive rewards-based training and really enjoys spending time learning new commands.
