Safe Harbor Humane Society
Safe Harbor Humane Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1960 with the purpose of improving the care and treatment of animals in our community. Safe Harbor Humane Society takes in about 4,000 animals seeking assistance every year, and works hard to find loving homes for unwanted and abandoned animals. Safe Harbor Humane Society services all of Kenosha County and places animals throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. It is Safe Harbor Humane Society's belief that the plight of animals will be greatly improved through aggressive spay/neuter programs, public education, and increased adoptions.

Adoption Process
Adopting an animal from Safe Harbor Humane Society is a simple process. We require an approved application for all adoptions, applications can be found online or at Safe Harbor. Processing an application usually takes 12-24 hours to complete. In order to get your application processed faster please have all current animals vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Once approved and all members of the family have interacted with the animal, adoptions take place at Safe Harbor! We strive to find all of our animals homes as soon as possible, but want them to go to great loving homes.
