Putnam Felines Inc
Putnam Felines, Inc. is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization working to help stray and feral cats in Putnam County. We believe that the problem of cat over-population will not be solved by adoption alone. Shelters are full and private adoption groups are unable to keep up with the demand for their services. We are practicing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) because we believe it is the most effective and humane way of controlling feral and stray cat populations and protecting wildlife.
We believe our mission is best served by having all of our cats spayed or neutered and microchipped before they are adopted out. We also believe that all pet cats should be INDOOR ONLY and we turn down prospective adopters who do not agree with us. Microchips establish ownership, altered animals do not contribute to the over-population problem and indoor cats do not harm the environment.

Adoption Process
Adoption events are held at PetSmart, Cortlandt Town Center, Route 6, Mohegan Lake, NY every Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.. We have also held adoption events at Feed Barn in Mahopac, and at Animal Kingdom in Brewster. Putnam Felines is exceptional in its dedication to raising adoptable kitties in homes where they learn what it means to be a member of a family. Our cats and kittens become familiar with the sounds of a typical household (TV, radio, telephone, dishwasher, etc.), and some of our kitties are raised in homes with other cats, dogs, and/or children!
Putnam Felines has a wonderful selection of cats and kittens waiting for adoption. All of our cats and kittens are delivered spayed or neutered, with all age appropriate immunizations, free of parasites, tested for FIV and Leukemia and microchipped with 24 Pet Watch . The adoption fee is $95. To adopt a cat or kitten from Putnam Felines please fill out an online application at www.putnamfelines.org or call Jean at (845)528-001
