Precious Friends Puppy Rescue
Precious Friends was founded in 1992 by Linda Hutchison. She had a dream of making Clarksville and the surrounding areas free of stray and unwanted puppies. In the past, most of our puppies came from individuals around the Clarksville area. We have spayed so many in this area, that we are now able to take from shelters located in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio, Texas, Illinois, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Indiana.
Every puppy or dog that enters our program finds a loving home. We work with North Shore Animal League of America, located in New York. What we do not adopt out here we send to them. They are our main support. They supply us with the vaccinations and funding we need to run the program. They are the reason we are able to take in so many new puppies a week. We are a limited no-kill shelter, and North Shore Animal League is a no-kill shelter.
Until two or three years ago, the situation locally had improved, with fewer unwanted puppies being born in the

Adoption Process
To adopt a puppy from Precious Friends you must complete the application and submit it for approval. The adoption process is fairly quick and usually you can bring your new pet home with you the same day.
Our adoption fee is $175, this fee helps cover the cost of medical expenses and daily care of the animal. It also covers the microchip and the spay/neuter surgery for the pet which will be scheduled upon adoption (typically when the puppy is 5-6 months old). This may seem like a lot of money but it does not even begin to cover the actual costs, the difference is made up through donations.
