Jefferson County SPCA
The Jefferson County S.P.C.A. is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1891 to help protect and care for domestic animals in Jefferson County. We are the only No-Kill facility in the area, as well as being the only shelter to accept cats in the county. Our shelter is the first site of the only early-age spay/neuter before adoption program in Jefferson County. As a non-profit organization, we exist on the donations that we receive from the general public, as well as from our varied fundraising events.

Adoption Process
Adopting from us is easy! All you have to do is fill out the application and give it to a staff member for approval. Unless we need to check with your landlord you will receive an immediate response. If you are renting please bring in a copy of your lease and/or your landlords name and phone number so we can verify adopting is ok. You can also email the filled out application to jcspca@yahoo.com.

First Vaccination
Fist Worming
Rabies if over 3 months
Spay or Neuter sugery
Microchip for permanent identification
Flea and ear mite check and treatment
Sample bag of food we feed
Free vet visit with a local Veterinarian
