Helping Hands Rescue
Helping Hands Rescue is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many companion animal lives as possible by rescuing them and placing them in permanent homes that are the best possible fit for the pet and the family.
We do not have an adoption center however we hold adoption events most weekends at PetSmart in Butler Plaza, 3736 SW Archer Road Gainesville, FL 32608. Please call to confirm our adoption event schedule or to make an appointment to meet your next animal companion.
All animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, seen by a vet, and current on flea and heartworm prevention prior to going home.Cats are Feline Leukemia, FIV, and Heartworm tested negative prior to adoption and Dogs are Heartworm tested negative if old enough.

Adoption Process
To expedite the adoption process, please click the "Begin the Adoption Process" button below. You will be asked to create a Petango account and fill in a few short fields. Once your account is created click on the "Begin the Adoption Process" button one more time to be taken to the adoption application. When complete you will see the message "Thank you! Your adoption application was submitted successfully." You will be contacted by a volunteer adoption counselor within 24 hours. Thank you for saving the life of a shelter pet!
