Bastrop County Animal Control and Shelter
Bastrop Complex Fire Update!
As of September 21st nearly 250 animals in the Bastrop County shelter and Austin Humane Society have been reunited with their owner(s). We continue to receive phone calls from loving pet owners who found their animal waiting for them when they returned to their property.
Our prayers and thoughts are with all the citizens and pets impacted by this tragedy.
Please stop by and consult with our experienced staff if you are interested in adopting.
Be sure to use the "notification feature" on Petango and receive a notification on a specific breed you are looking for.
A bit of history:
The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows.
Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 4 play yards.
If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love
