About Petango’s Lost & Found Program

Did you know that 5 million pets go missing in the United States every year? That’s nearly ten cats and dogs every single minute. Petango helps people find best friends for life, and now with our new Lost & Found Program, we’re also helping people find pets when they go missing.

Working together with over 1,500 Animal Welfare organizations, the Petango Lost & Found Program helps identify lost pets and reunite them with their owners through an online notification system.

By subscribing to the Petango Lost & Found Program you’ll be joining a sizeable network of pet owners across the country who are helping to find lost pets. You’ll receive up-to-date email notifications of missing pets in your neighborhood or community so you can alert Petango and help reunite them with their family.

How it Works

1. 1. When a pet goes missing, the owner notifies their local PetPoint animal shelter.
2. 2. Animal welfare organizations will submit a lost pet notification that is then sent to Petango.com.
3. 3. A lost pet notification e-mail is sent to all Petango Lost & Found subscribers in the area. The email includes pictures and a detailed profile of the lost pet to help subscribers identify the animal and return it to its rightful owner.
