Pet Memo

Hi, My name is Doc! I am honored to be the PACT Dog of the Month, especially now. Like the Olympics I am going for the GOLD at PACT Humane Society. But I do not want to win a medal. I want to win you over to be my forever family. I am going to speak up for myself and maybe brag a little. Look at my picture. I am handsome and debonair with a classic black and white short haired coat. Sure I know those fluffy dogs are cute but those salon fancy hairdos can get expensive. I am a great size around 20 lbs. and about 4 years old. I like to go for walks and play with toys and be with people. I do not know why my name is Doc. I have no medical degree but I can help you with some ailments you may have.

Need more exercise? Instead of that boring treadmill let's do some daily walking together and get in shape.
Are you stressed out? Boss does not appreciate you? I will always appreciate you. Got depression? I can cheer you up with my spunky personality.

As far as a good fit for my personality, I am more a people person and do not like other animals so much or sharing with them. I would be better suited with a family with more mature children, if any.

Folks, I will not take up a lot of room in your house. I just want a little room in your heart. Well that's about all I can fit into this short speech. You have to come to PACT and visit me to really get to know me.

Help a homeless dog like me go for my GOLD.

Shelter Information

People and Animals in Community Together (PACT) Humane Society is a no-kill, all volunteer, not-for-profit humane society and educational organization. PACT was established in April of 2000 in Downers Grove, Illinois and currently runs an adoption center in Bloomingdale, Illinois where cats and dogs are adopted daily. PACT volunteers serve in many different capacities including daily animal care providers (cleaning and socialization), adoption counselors, management team members, program coordinators, webmasters, humane educators, and advisors. Because of our limited space, some animals live in foster homes until space or adoption opportunities become available. PACT has over 100 volunteers that care for over 150 dogs and cats at both our adoption centers and those animals in foster care.
