Pet Memo

Hi! My name is Erin and I'm a spayed, female American Pit Bull/Lab mix born May 11, 2009. I'm drop dead gorgeous, super sweet and very friendly. I am perfectly house trained and know all basic commands. Some of my favorite things to do are play Frisbee, Tug-o-War, chase things and run around in my foster mom's back yard. I even go with her on her morning runs! And I love to have my coat brushed. I would love to find a forever home with a big back yard as I have a lot of energy. I love to please and give kisses and will follow you around if you let me! Due to my high prey drive, I'm probably better off in a home with no small pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc). I do have select canine friends but would prefer to be the only dog in the house to so I can soak up all your attention. I am living in a foster home now but if you'd like to come meet me, it can be arranged very easily. My foster mom fell in love with me at first sight & I'm sure you will too!!

Shelter Information

People and Animals in Community Together Humane Society (PACT) is a no-kill, not-for-profit, and all volunteer animal shelter and educational organization. We were established in April of 2000 in Downers Grove, Illinois. PACT Humane Society is staffed by volunteers who serve in many different capacities including daily animal care providers (cleaning and socialization), adoption counselors, management team members, program coordinators, and advisers. To date we have adopted out over 5,000 cats and dogs in our 12 year history. We are no-kill, only euthanizing animals in advanced stages of cancer or liver disease, or an untreatable illness, where there is no quality of life or hope of recovery. We have rescued thousands of animals from animal control facilities where they would have been euthanized within a matter of days. We rescue older animals and "less-than-perfect" ones, such as dogs with heartworm, and cats with FIV or diabetes, cats missing tails, eyes or legs.
