Sharpei/Lab mix seeks Dog Nerd. You know who you are. You plan clicker training sessions to teach a dog to get into a laundry basket. For no reason. You have one of those "Easy" buttons so your dog can press it on cue. You look forward to weekend obedience classes because you can't wait to show off my loose leash skills. And when we're through with that, you put me in Rally Obedience and Agility because it's "fun". In our "down time", we are hiking or training for your races. In the winter, maybe I tow you around on your skis or learn to pull a sled because you once dreamed of being a musher and having an ungodly number of dogs in a small, cozy cabin in Alaska. I can live with "Dog Nerds in Training" too. (I think you call those children.) But they best keep up! We have weird tricks to learn. Like learning to ride a skateboard. Other dogs are also cool - we could learn to jump over each other! And through a hoop! A hoop on fire! So follow your heart and fess up. You want to show me off and frankly, I can't wait to make you the Best.Dog.Nerd.Ever.
