Pet Memo

My name is Val and I'm a sweet, handsome little guy. I was found by a nice man on a set of railroad tracks fighting for my life - I was cold, wet, shivering and totally emaciated. Because of this, I'm rather small for my age. The staff at Heartland took wonderful care of me and nursed me back to health and I've gained over 3 pounds since I've been here. I spent a little while in foster care where I lived with lots of different cats and a small dog, who I rather liked. I can be scared at times in new situations so please give me time to adjust. Since my time outside proved to be almost fatal, I would prefer to be an indoor only kitty. If I'm the only pet, I will likely form a stronger bond with my person. Please spend some time holding me because the more I get the better I will be. My adoption fee: $80.

Heartland Humane Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization that serves the animals and people of Benton County, Oregon. Founded in Benton County by a number of compassionate citizens in 1966, our mission is to build a more compassionate community by teaching humane messages to our youth, caring for homeless animals and strengthening the human-animal bond.
