This is Lewis and Clark. These kittens we rescued rescued from the Bussey's Flea Market. A woman was selling them, and they were in terrible shape, so one of our foster moms bought them, to get them out of the awful conditions they were being raised in.

Fortunately, they are all doing really, really well, now.

These two are inseparable. They always sleep together, play together, and eat together. They need to be adopted together. They are very affectionate and love to sit on your shoulder. They are also very affectionate with the other cats and dogs in our home. They have had their kitten shots and were feline leuk/ FIV negative. They will be neutered in February.

Homes For Pets (Schertz Humane Society) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, adoption-guarantee organization dedicated to rescue and improving the lives of companion animals in the Schertz, Texas area (NE San Antonio). We provide foster care and facilitate adoptions of homeless pets, support the staff and animals in the city shelter, and provide community education about responsible pet ownership. The group is comprised solely of volunteers and its activities are financed by membership dues, fundraisers, and donations.

Our animals are examined by a vet, brought up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, treated for any illnesses or parasites, and evaluated for temperament. Dogs are heartworm tested (and treated, if positive) and started on preventative; cats are tested for FeLV/FIV.
