Pet Memo

Garbo is a curvy, solid-black lady with incredibly striking green eyes- you don't want to miss them! This mama came to us with two little kittens and even tried to help nurse 5 other motherless kittens that came into our rescue, but unfortunately it just didn't work out. Giving to her core, Garbo spent so much time rearing them, she neglected to socialize herself and needs someone who isn't looking for a affectionate lap cat. She enjoys hanging out with people, but apart from them. Shy and easily scared, Garbo has one weakness: human food. She won't jump on your dining room table, nor will she aggressively go after your snacks or vocalize protest. No, no, no, that's too uncivilized for her. Garbo will simply sit on the floor, imploring you with her gorgeous eyes... just a bite? Please? She especially loves tidbits of cheese and meats (both vegan and not... her current foster parents are vegan and say she'll eat their non-dairy cheese and faux meats just as excitedly as her normal cat food!). Please consider bringing this gorgeous little panther home today!

Broad Shoulders Animal Rescue is an animal rescue/network of foster homes in Chicago. We are all volunteer- a handful of great foster homes, 6 dedicated board members, some amazing volunteers and a great many wonderful supporters. BSAR promotes animal adoption, TNR, the No-Kill Movement & veganism in order to make Chicago a more animal-friendly place.
