Beautiful Rocky is also a lucky fellow! His mom was a pregnant stray cat who was taken into one of our wonderful foster homes. Rocky was born in foster care and has been loved on since he was a tiny baby. He's ready for his forever home!

Shelter Information

Homes For Pets (Schertz Humane Society) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, adoption-guarantee organization dedicated to rescue and improving the lives of companion animals in the Schertz, Texas area (NE San Antonio). We provide foster care and facilitate adoptions of homeless pets, support the staff and animals in the city shelter, and provide community education about responsible pet ownership. The group is comprised solely of volunteers and its activities are financed by membership dues, fundraisers, and donations.

Our animals are examined by a vet, brought up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, treated for any illnesses or parasites, and evaluated for temperament. Dogs are heartworm tested (and treated, if positive) and started on preventative; cats are tested for FeLV/FIV.

To apply, visit our website at www.homesforpets.org for an Adoption Application. Dog Fee is $115; Cats are $75, purebreds may have additional fee. Home visit required to finalize dog applications.
