Shelter Information

The Klein Animal Shelter is located in Jacksonville, Texas (30 miles South of Tyler). Our intake is approx. 8,000 animals from Cherokee County, Smith County and beyond. We strive to give each animal that comes under our care every chance for a new and loving home. Because we are an open-door facility we will accept any animal who needs a temporary home. We work very hard to place animals for adoption through our program or one of our numerous transfer and rescue partners. Please feel free to come meet our animals or donate your time and talent to help the animals we serve. Monetary donations are always appreciated.
