Opie is sweet-hearted boy, so typical of orange tabby cats. Opie likes to play with his siblings but gets along with the big cats too. He loves to jump at toys on sticks and chase toy mice and balls. For more information you can call his foster mom at 256-412-7199 or simply fill out an application to adopt on this website.

Opie is neutered and up to date on all his shots.

Shelter Information

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to:
1. Facilitating the adoption of abandoned companion animals into permanent loving homes.
2. Raising funds to support a low-cost spay/neuter program and TNR Program
3. Establishing a no-kill community for NW Alabama
4. Educating people on the compassionate treatment and care of companion animals

PAWS does not have a shelter. We operate entirely out of foster homes. Fostering is an integral part of our organization as it allows us to place dogs, cats, and other abandoned, orphaned, or surrendered animals into loving homes while they wait for a permanent adoptive family.á We provide support and veterinary care. The more foster homes we have, the more animals we are able to save! We do not receive any public funding and depend on donations, adoption fees, and community support to continue saving companion animals from being euthanized.
